Electronic Apparel Workshop 2025

#

This workshop, held in the Dept. of Fashion Design at Shih Chien University, focused on “Firefly Fashion.” Students integrated LEDs and textile switches into their garments to create pieces that light up and transform in the dark, inspired by one of natures subtle but great spectacles.

Electronic Apparel Workshop 2024

The video shows the functioning electronic garments designed by teams of master fashion design students. The team this year was mood shift, using light in a garment to dynamically project different contrasting moods. All the work was completed in either 7 afternoons or 7 evenings as part of the Electronic Fashion Workshop run by visiting Assistant Prof. Paul Gough

Electronic Apparel workshop at Shih Chien University, Taiwan. Master Fashion Design students developed six examples of electronics apparel based on the theme of introvert/extrovert fashion. That is fashion that can dynamically change from one to the other.

8 designs from the master students of Shih Chien University, Taipei. Reimagining the Little Black Dress, to extravert hoodies, through to protective sportswear.

Electronic Apparel Workshop 2017

2017 Electronic sportswear workshop at the Fashion Design Dept of Shih Chien University, Taiwan. In the 10 day workshop the students create new and novel types of sports wear, from basketball tops that flash your number when you score a basket to a jacket for analyse the posture of an Olympic shooter.

Master students at Shih Chien University (實踐大學) push the boundaries of fashion design; combining clothes and electronics to make unique apparel. The theme of the workshop was Jekyll and Hyde…clothes that can change character. This video shows the student designing, preparing and showing their creations.
